    Coconut Berry Bowl

    It’s 70 and sunny in LA. And it’s February. Coming from Minnesota, I can handle this! I’ve stayed away from smoothies for a while, instead opting for cooked foods to ease my digestion and add warmth during the winter season. However it felt just right for today 🙂 I’m currently on a limited “autoimmune”-type nutritional protocol to reduce systemic inflammation and heal my gut, which means no nuts (or legumes – aka peanut butter…gasp!) for the time being. Oh how I miss them haha. But I can have everything coconut – oil, butter, yogurt, milk (the pure, unprocessed, whole fat kind) – and that is amazing. Adding to that amazingness…

    Lemon Thyme Cod

    I have found my go-to fish recipe. It is so simple, it is ridiculous. And it is so delicious, it is that much more ridiculous. Like buttery, melt-in-your-mouth wow. Here it goes: Ingredients: 1-2 lb black cod (I usually get wild-caught from the farmer’s market 🙂 1/2 lemon ~2T fresh thyme (personally – the more the better!) pink himalayan salt parchment paper Directions: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Line baking dish with parchment paper Place fish skin-down in dish Sprinkle with thyme and salt to taste Squeeze fresh lemon juice over fish Bake for 15-20 min until flaky Try not to eat it all straight out of the pan 😉…
